I watched a live video presentation the other day and it really got me thinking about how I promote various stuff.
I’ve always been a fan of video marketing… and alot of stuff I deliver is via this method.
Along with audio, it’s a very powerful way of communicating with clients, customers and prospects. If you’re not using it on your website, you could be loosing out on a truckload of opportunities.
I’m going to be sticking videos up on my blog… for various things and I would suggest you do the same. If just by sticking a video or (at the very least) an audio on your pages, you won just one client, how much would that be worth to you?
I’ll be trying out a marketing approach where I have, an ad for an ad. What do I mean by that? Well there’s lots of businesses that will try and get a prospect to buy right from the get go. Unless you’re an exceptional salesperson, copywriter or marketer, that can be a little challenging.
Now I’m pretty lazy… if I don’t have to work hard I won’t. So I’m putting together a postcard campaign for my local market and on it… I’ll be pointing them to a webpage for a free report that they can download. (Guess what? I’ll also include an audio and video version of that report - I just love re-purposing stuff)
They’ll leave me their name and email address, so they can get access to it, then I’ll be building my list of local businesses who are in the market for improving what they do.
So the first ad will be the postcard… the second will be a bit of information as to why they should leave their name and email and what the report will enable them to do or stop doing either now or in the future.
So far I haven’t ask them for any money… and I won’t be for a while. I want to give them so much good useable content, so when I do ask for money, either for a workshop, seminar or product, they’ll be less resistant to purchsing. Do you get the idea?
Having an ad for an ad, rather than trying to get a stranger to buy from you right from the off, is a better way of getting prospects to buy. Plus, it gives you an opportunity to build a relationship with your prospects. I’m not sure who coined this phrase, but I think it’s so right.
“All things being equal, people will buy from those people they know, like and trust”
What better way to do that by offering valuable information they can use and get a result from straightaway.
Enjoy your video productions :o)

I love video… I’ve started to use it in many different ways and exploring how else I could use it.
The tools available now for getting video up and running and in front of people you want to see it, is ballooning.
I’m keeping an eye on new stuff coming out.
i have attended a few teleseminar and it is good to but lack personal interactions;.’
Hey Thomas… I have attended SO many I really have lost count. I would say it probably in the hundreds now.
But the best programme I’ve seen on teleseminars, which interaction is factored in is Alex Mandossians ‘Teleseminar Secrets’
If you’re thinking about putting on a teleseminar, check out his stuff, yes of course have a look around and see who else is doing stuff on the subject, but look at Alex’s first.
