Speaking As A Way To Win Clients

I delivered a talk the other day on effective networking and I thoroughly enjoyed the evening.

The audience were great, the hosts made me feel welcome and the venue was really good (somewhat warm, becasue of the lack of air conditioning though).

Already the amount of emails I’ve received from the delegates, thanking me for what I shared and asking about my services has been… overwhelming.

Even though this happens with most of my talks… I’m always surprised by at how powerful, standing up and speaking can be for winning new business. Or at the very least, putting you a in position to win a new client.

If you’re not using the marketing approach of speaking… then you’re losing out of a flood of opportunities. What other marketing strategy is there, where people pay to be your prosepcts?
