I Can’t Believe How Much I’ve Invested

coins

I’m a firm believer in investing in one’s self… and I’ve been doing that for years now.

Today… I was preparing my VAT return because I know it’ll be due soon and I wanted to be ahead of
the game this time round. With my sometimes challenging time management, I tend to do things at the last minute.

Anyway…

As I was going through my PayPal, ClickBank and other receipts, I counted up how much money I had spent on books, ebooks, internet marketing scripts and a load of other stuff. I was shocked!

I had spent exactly £542.56 in the past three months alone. Now in normal circumstances, I would have said that’s a good thing (investing in myself and my business). But on this occassion, it wasn’t. Why?

Well the simple fact was I hadn’t even looked 2 of the products I had purchased. It looked (when I looked at the dates) like I was buying a product every single day and not taking the time to read, watch or listen to what I’d bought.

It’s real easy to fall into the habit of buying and not learning. So I’m going to make a huge effort… no… In fact I’m definately NOT going to buy another thing until I’ve gone through all this stuff, put it to work and recorded the results. Then I’ll know whether it was a worthwhile investment or not. At the moment, it like dead money. The stock is sitting there and not making me any moolah.

What I’ve purchased is more “Shelf Development” than “Self Development”.

Finish what you start, then move onto the next best thing. Or you’ll end up like I was… loads of stuff to help you make money or improve your life and they don’t do a thing for you becasue you don’t use them.

I daren’t tell the wife :o)
