Accountability Partners Do they work?

If you’re an independent professional or someone who works on their own… having a another like minded person to be accountable to helps with productivity.

Mastermind groups, networking and having a mentor are all good. But having someone you can be in contact with, who you can report to on your achievements is a really good idea.

My accountablity partner happens to be my wife :o)

And boy does she make me accountable. She has a vested interest in my success, and so… she’s a great person to have. She asks awkward questions, a lot of the time about how I’m using my time. If I’m on the phone chatting away and she thinks I’ve been on there for too long she’ll pop head around the corner and say… nothing.

She’ll just look and I get the message. Oddly enough… I tend to get more done :o)

It really doesn’t matter who your accountability partner is, as long as they have a vested interest in your success, even if it’s just to see you succeed, then they’re worth their weight in gold studs.

Hopefully these tips have been helpful. What do you think?
